The Church of the Ascension is one of four Anglican churches that make up a group ministry in the neighbouring parishes of Padgate, Woolston, Birchwood and Cinnamon Brow. In addition, it is one of six churches forming the inter-denominational ecumenical group "Churches Together in Padgate and Woolston".
